With GaNPrime technology, Anker improves upon existing Gallium Nitride (GaN) products, resulting in faster, smarter, and eco-friendly chargers.

Anker has announced a handful of new charging accessories that it claims are faster, smarter, and more power efficient thanks to a technology it calls GaNPrime. Anker is one of the leading brands when it comes to mobile charging. However, the company's portfolio expands beyond power banks and chargers.

Anker owns Soundcore, its line of audio products which includes speakers, earphones, and smart glasses; Eufy, which is its line of smart home appliances made up of vacuum cleaners, security cameras, and smart locks; and Nebula, its line of video projectors. It also owns AnkerWork, a line of professional tools including webcams, speakerphones, and microphones; and the recently announced AnkerMake, which is its line of 3D printing products.

The new Anker charging products feature a new GaNPrime technology which packs several new features that bring improvements over existing Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology. Anker says GaNPrime is its “most intelligent multi-device fast charging system.” The new technology packs a combination of new features including Compact Architecture Design. This allows for chargers that are not only lighter but up to 53% smaller than their silicon counterparts.

The new GaNPrime chargers also feature ActiveShield 2.0, Anker's next-gen smart temperature monitoring technology. According to the manufacturer, with ActiveShield 2.0, the temperature monitoring frequency is up to 3 million times per day, a 76% increase compared to the previous generation. GanPrime charging accessories also feature PowerIQ 4.0 whose improved Dynamic Power Distribution feature is able to real-time monitor the power needs of connected devices and allocate the right amount of power to the most important ones. For example, when a compatible MacBook and iPhone are connected to the same charger, PowerIQ 4.0 will allocate more power to the port fueling the device with the lowest battery level so it can charge faster. When the said device charges up to a significant level, it redistributes the power again. Anker also claims that its GaNPrime products are not only good for consumers but also the environment, as they help save power, reduce e-waste, and reduce CO2 emissions.

The new GaNPrime technology is available in a handful of products, some of which can be purchased already. There is the 65W Anker 735 charger with two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port priced at $59.99. Those who require more power can pick up the $94.99 Anker 737 which has the same number and types of ports as the one above but a maximum power output of 120W. Another option is the Anker 747 which has three USB-C ports and a single USB-A port, a 150W max. output, and a $109.99 price tag. In addition to the chargers, the $99 Anker 733 (GaNPrime PowerCore 65W) is a 10,000mAh power bank that also doubles as a triple port charger with a 65W output.

Anker's GaNPrime technology is also found in the $69.99 Anker 615, a 65W power strip with two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, and two AC outlets. The $94.99 Anker 727 takes things further with its 100W maximum output spread across two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. It also has two AC outlets, so owners can connect a total of six devices at the same time. Some of these products are already available for purchase on Anker's website as well as on Amazon, while others will be available later this quarter. Anker has also revealed more products featuring the technology will be announced in the future.
