Onyx Boox Leaf came out in late November. It is a dedicated e-book reader and has no access function. You will be able to load your e-book collection in multiple formats and read it directly on your device. If you have purchased a large number of collections on Amazon, Kobo, Nook, Scribd or Audible, you can install these apps directly from Google Play. The leaf retail price is 249 dollars, can buy from Good e-Reader Store.

The Leaf is equipped with a 7-inch E INK Carta HD display with a resolution of 1680×1404 and 300 PPI. The screen is completely flush with the frame with a flat cover. There is a front-lit display with a series of white and amber LED lights that can be combined to provide a warm candlelight effect. The light distribution is very good and even. It has a similar two-tone color scheme on the hardware, similar to Note Air. There are no blue stripes on the side, but dark gray, which adds some nice contrast.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 636 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. It has a speaker where you can listen to audiobooks, podcasts or music. There is Bluetooth 5.0, so you can also pair wireless headphones or external speakers to listen. The USB-C port is used to transfer digital content from your PC or MAC to your Leaf, and it is also used to charge the 2000 mAh battery. There is also a gravity sensor that can automatically switch between landscape and portrait modes. The microphone will allow users to communicate with applications such as Facetime, Discord, Whatsapp or Line.

The retail packaging is black, and the front is hollowed out to let you know the appearance of the e-reader. On the back are a large number of technical specifications in different languages. Onyx has always relied heavily on the capabilities of the hardware, and they certainly don't use marketing jargon. When you open the box, the Leaf is in the front and center. The back seems to be made of plastic, and the front is aluminum. There is a pogo pin connector on the side, which is an optional magnetic housing with a page turning button. At the bottom are the USB-C port and dual stereo speakers. I always like e-reader companies to put them on the bottom instead of the back. Usually, people put it in a box or put it on a table or bed to use it, and the speakers may become unhappy. This is similar to the placement of the speakers used by the Apple iPad. You will also get a warranty card, a quick start guide and a USB-C to USB-A cable.

I like the silver and black design of Note Leaf. It is very light and easy to hold with one hand. Android 10 is a big selling point. It comes with a new version of Boox OS, which is optimized for the Kindle application, so you won't get animated page turning.
